best electric paddle board pump

If you enjoy paddle boarding with an inflatable board, you need to get an electric paddle board pump. Using a hand pump can really wear you out before you even get on your paddle board. An electric SUP pump will take care of all the work for you while you worry about more important things.

The 7 Best Electric Paddle Board Pumps

1. Overall Best and Fastest – Outdoor Master Shark 3

Specifications

  • Max Pressure – 20 psi
  • Inflation Speed Test – 4 min 56 sec
  • Inflate Multiple Boards – Yes 2-3
  • Size – 13″ x 6″ x 7″
  • Weight – 6.2 lbs
  • Battery – Yes

What we liked:

  • Dual compressors means it can inflate boards twice as fast as most other pumps
  • Internal battery has enough power to inflate at least 2 boards very fast
  • 3 pre-set modes for use with different types of inflatables

What we didn’t like:

  • It is on the heavy side. It weighs 6 pounds and three ounces.
  • The black display is really hard to read in bright light

Bottom Line

When you want to paddle NOW! and you don’t want to wait for your board to inflate, the Shark 3 is the only choice.

The Outdoor Master Shark 3 is a beast of a pump that can inflate boards twice as fast as a normal electric pump. The Shark 3 has dual compressors powered by 2 motors that give it twice the pumping power. It has a built in battery to power these pumps. The Shark 3 was able to inflate a 10’6″ all around SUP in under 5 minutes. It can inflate large over 12 foot touring boards to 20 psi in 7.5 minutes.

The Shark 3’s dual compressor motors need a lot of juice. This is more than your cars 12 volt outlet can supply. To get the full power of the Shark 3 you need to use it’s internal battery to power the pump. It only gives you one compressor and normal speeds if you forget to recharge it and need to run it off a 12 volt outlet.

If you want fast and powerful and hate waiting for your board to inflate, the Shark 3 is a great pump.

Bottom Line

The NIXY Ventus comes with the most complete accessory set including a bag and 12 volt plug. It can robustly inflate as many boards in a row as you can find it hook it up to.

The Nixy Ventus Electric SUP Pump is another good option if you need to pump up several boards in a row. This would be our runaway favorite pump if it just inflated boards faster. The manufacturer claims it can pump up to 10 boards in a row. We have inflated over 7 in a row testing it.

It has a separate cooling fan like the OutdoorMaster Shark 2 pump to keep it from overheating. It takes several minutes longer to inflate a board than the iRocker pump.

This pump has a lot of good features besides being able to pump up several boards. It comes with a really nice carrying bag. It has a nice cord organizer built into the bottom. There is an available battery as well.

A very small and compact paddleboard pump that can still inflate up to 20 psi.

The Outdoor Master Dolphin 2 electric paddleboard pump is one of the most innovative and well-designed pumps on the market. This pump is designed to be small and compact, making it easy to store and transport. It also features a powerful motor that can inflate your paddleboard to 20 psi. It can inflate several boards in a row now without fear of damaging the pump.

As a single stage pump, this isn’t one of the fastest pumps out there but it gets the job done. It can’t deflate boards either. It will fit in almost any paddleboard carry bag out there and doesn’t weigh much either.

7. Bluefin E-Swift

Specifications

  • Max Pressure – 20 psi
  • Inflation Speed Test – 7 min 18 sec
  • Inflate Multiple Boards – 1 to 2
  • Size – 10″ x 8″ x 4″

What we liked:

  • Fast inflation times. The 3rd fastest pump we have tested
  • Easy to read display with big, easy to read buttons
  • It comes with cords for use with a 12 volt outlet or alligator clips for connecting directly to a battery

What we didn’t like:

  • The display is hard to read in bright sunlight
  • Large size and weight for a pump not designed for multiple boards or battery powered
  • No built in cord storage

Bottom Line

This pump is big and gets the job done quick. It’s one of the faster pumps out there.

The Bluefin E-Swift electric pump is fast and reliable. It is one of the biggest and heaviest electric pumps we have tried. It has very fast inflation times coming in at just a little over 7 minutes in our test.

It has a large heavy duty feeling plastic case with very large buttons. The black screen displays large numbers. The downside to every pump we have ever tested with a black display is that they are hard to read in sunlight. The E-Swift is no exception. The numbers are big but so faint they are almost unreadable in bright light.

According to the manual this pump can only pump 1 to 2 boards in a row. We pumped 4 boards up with it on a 90F sunny day without any overheating problems. The benefit of the large case is that it should cool easier even without a separate cooling fan.
